D-Day Medical Glove

This glove was found in a trash pit, a hole where medical waste and other refuse were dumped by american soldiers after landing, at Omaha Beach Fox-Green Sector in Normandy.  This rubber glove was used by a U.S. soldier who was part of a graves registration unit. Graves registration units were responsible for identifying dead soldiers and preparing their bodies for moving.

Certificate of authenticity for the glove from The Gettysburg Museum of History.
