Personal Diary

This personal journal belonged to Lieutenant Ralph A. Thorpe who was a safety officer at Camp Cooke during the Korean War.  We are unsure of an exact length of service but LT Thorpe was confirmed active on August 10, 1952 by a dated page but didnt serve past 1953 at Camp Cooke as it was shutdown that year.  Not much else is known about this soldier other than during his time a large incident occured at the base involving the Criminal Investigation Division(CID) and an increase in guards around camp.
